That is one god-awful line-up. It speaks to the Sabres lack of depth. It's hard to believe that line-up actually happened this past year. Gives me shudders.

Murray was split by that time, originally trying to build a team that resembled LA. He initially wanted a big strong structured team which results in low scoring games. When he hired Bylsma I bet that's what they both agreed on and Bylsma DOES/DID NOT ADAPT.
When we injected youth and speed we got a new style of play, Murray f**ked up by changing the course but not communicating his new approach to the coach.
That quote is evidence of that. A quick rise and fall for Murray and a final flame on an dying fire for Disco. Ego and lack of experience (been there)

absolutely...it's best to remember the scorched earth rebuild that took place a year prior, one that included rochester

Looking back on it now, this is where GMTM made his fundamental error. The process simply can't be completed in 3 years.

This is a tautology that will haunt the Laffs sooner or later, and bring their fanbase back to planet earth.

WGR550: Dreger - I can't say Buffalo isn't an option for Matt Duchene. Duchene is willing to consider any option that is thrown his way #Sabres
